The Yonge Buck sculpture is a multi-medium totem of protection. It combines several recurring elements and motifs formed around a set of deer antlers given to me by a hunter. Taking something dead and giving it new life and purpose reflects the beliefs of reincarnation, spiritual residence and respect for nature. Various symbols can be found on the head of Yonge Buck, most notably the Toronto ornament found on his antler. Wordplay is used to both name the piece and reference the growth happening in the city of Toronto.
